This Saturday morning class will provide an overview of the Mahamudra Practice Program. The session is suitable for anyone who wishes to get a sense of how a graduated path of personal practice could be organized, as well as for individuals who are actively considering going to India in January for the Mahamudra Seminar which will be led by Khenpo Lodro Donyo Rinpoche (see KCC.org for more information) After the morning session, those interested in going to India may gather for lunch and discussion.

The Mahamudra program was initiated in 1992 by Bokar Rinpoche, the heart student of KCC’s founder Kalu Rinpoche, to provide an graduated path of meditation that is practical for lay practitioners. It is especially suited to individuals who feel a yearning to go deeper but can not fit extended retreat into their lives.  The program includes the progression of Calm Abiding, Insight and Mahamudra as well as other supportive meditations and contemplations. In the past the seminar and other support has been offered by KCC in addition to the regular India seminars.

If there is sufficient interest, there could be an additional session focusing on the practicalities of India travel.
